Thanks in advance for your advise.

1. Splendid China Town in Shenzhen
2. China Folk Culture villages in Shenzhen.
For cheap hardware, computer stuff, Audio/video buys, go to the HiTech centre, in Futian district.
Luowu is the popular area for shopping and near the checkpoint to cross to Hong Kong. Here you have to beware for pickpockets and beggars, this area is notorious for losing your belongings. It’s also where the big 5-star hotels are located.
I would suggest you to stay in Futian area, and do daytrips from there. I’m sure that in the hotel you can arrange transport to wherever you want to go for sightseeing.
I can recommend New Century hotel and Garden View hotel in those areas. Garden View is newer I haven’t stayed there, but had a look inside when they had just opened and it looked good. There are shopping malls nearby as well where you can find all sorts of restaurants and go for a foot massage (must try, it’s relaxing!)
I have been in Shenzhen only for business, honestly there are nicer places in China to visit for travelling.
