HK-Macau Express

First, arrive in Shenzhen. Since for self-supporting travel you must go through the port instead of directly flying to Hong Kong (except you go with an agency rather than self-supporting), we suggest you to live in the hotels around Luohu Port, for usually people assemble at the entrance of the port entry hall, and living there will save you lots of trouble. After the assembly, people in the tourist agency will lead you through and give you the train ticket. The terminal station is Hongkan general station, but you’d better get off at Jiudongtang Station in the middle, so as to catch the convenient subway to go to each main section of HK.

Shenzhen Luohu—Jiulong Hongkan, the whole journey takes 39 minutes. The early bus in Jiulong starts at 5:30, and the late bus ends at 23:07. In Luohu, the early bus starts at 5:55, and the late bus ends at 0:30. The ticket for adults is around 3.5-33 HKD, and it’s halved for seniors above 65 and children between 3-11 years old.
The bus transportation has widely applied “octopus card” electronic consuming system, which can save the embarrassment of no change. “Octopus card” is suitable for subway, light railway, KCP East Rail, bus, airport express and ferry steamer. If you plan to stay long, you can buy an “octopus card” in the subway consumer service center, which costs only 150 Yuan each, and is very convenient and economical. Consulting line: 852-29938880. Besides: there are “three-day HK travel card” and “tourist subway one day travel card” for sale, which are very convenient for the tourists who are not going to stay long in HK or do not travel very often there.
You can travel by fast ship from HK to Macau and get on board on the HK and Macau ports.
You can travel from Shenzhen to Macau by ship. From December 28th, 2007, a new flight has been increased from Shekou to Xingangao Port of Macau (the flight takes around 60 minutes):

Shenzhen Shipping Agency has started to present set tickets from Shekou to Macau (Yuetong Port) from January 21st, 2008, the prices are as follows:
The set ticket from Shekou to Macau (Yuetong Port) back and forth is 220, among which the price from Shekou to Macau (Yuetong Port) is 125 RMB, and that from Macau (Yuetong Port) to Shekou is 95 Yuan for each person. The set ticket back and forth means that you buy the exit ship ticket as well as the returning ticket from Shekou or Macau (Yuetong Port) at the same time. The date and flight schedule can be selected, but you need to identify them clearly while buying the tickets.

In order to provide the latest tourism trends to the tourists form China and abroad as well as the detailed tour materials for reference, Tourism  Administration of Shenzhen  Municipality has set up many consulting service centers at the airport, port and train station.
Ever since the information center starts to function, it has provided a series of consulting service for the tourist from Hong Kong and foreign countries. The information for scenic spots, accommodation, transportation and visa extension have become the hot issues in the consulting spots.
According to Tourism  Administration of Shenzhen  Municipality, Shenzhen city will further enhance the internationalized degree of the information center. An electronic distribution map of the main scenic resorts in Shenzhen has been equipped there, with all the materials listed in both English and Chinese. Besides, the city has also invested to build a network of tourism consulting service centers, multi-media touch screen and tourist call center for emergency as well as a 4000-square-meter assembling center for scattered tourists.
There have been 4 completed networks of tourism information centers in Shenzhen. Tourists can search for the tourism resources of Shenzhen in the center for free, and can get the information for traveling, food, shopping and entertainment as well as assigning for different kinds of traveling activities there.
