Wish to fly to Hong Kong then transit to Shenzhen airport.?

Q:

I believe there is a direct ferry connection between the two airports without a great deal of hassle. Is this the best way to make the transfer and what window of time do I need to allow?

A:

Ferry is best as you don’t have to pass by Hong Kong immigration and no need to take your luggage. As soon as you disembark, go directly to the Ferry transfer counter. Take the Ferry to Fuyong(Shenzhen). There are two Ferry service to Shenzhen(Shekou and Fuyong).

3 hour allowance should be fine but 4 hours is recommendend. 1 hour for ferrry(including waiting time). China immigration clearanct and transfer to Shenzhen airport is 30min ~ 1 hour.

If you will take the bus, it is 1 hour to China border, 1 hour from border to airport. 1 hour for immigration and customs (Hongkong enter/exit and China enter).
