China Telecom signed agreement for Shenzhen 26th Universiade Summer Game, becoming the fifth partner of Shenzhen Universiade following China Merchants Bank, Kingway, China Southern Power Grid and Coco cola, which is the global partners in communication services.

Liu Yupu, Vice-secretary of Guangdong Provincial Commission and Party Secretary of Shenzhen, Xu Zongheng, Mayor of Shenzhen, Xu Qin, Executive Deputy Mayor, Dai Beifang, Member of Standing Committee of Party Committee, members of Party Leadership Group of the municipal government, Liang Daoxing, Chief of Executive Board of Universiage, Li Ping, Secretary-general of the municipal government, Wang Xiaochu, General Manager of China Telecom, Yang Xiaowei, Vice General Manager of China Telecom and so on attended the signing ceremony.

Liu Yupu talked to Wang Xiaochu before the signing ceremony that China Telecom becoming the global partner of Shenzhen 2011 Universiade meant Shenzhen Universiade made a big improvement on the way of the cross-industry market development, which is a reflection for carrying out the purpose of “government sponsoring, entire population participating, market developing and economically holding the Universiade.”

Mayor of Shenzhen, Xu Zongheng addressed on the signing ceremony, “the 26 Universiade Summer Game is the first international and comprehensive sport event that Shenzhen will undertake, which is enormously significant to Shenzhen’s future development. Today, on the countdown of 800 days, China Telecom formally signs agreement to become the fifth global partner of the Univrsiade, which indicate that the market development of the Universiade is stepping to a new level and also means that the cooperation between China Telecom and Shenzhen come into a new history stage. ”
