Shenzhen’s first A/H1N1 flu patient left hospital
Shenzhen’s first A/H1N1 flu patientl recovered completely after the medical treatment of Shenzhen No.3 People’s Hospital and left the hospital on June 4th.
This male patient, 22 years old, is a Chinese American, who took the international flight to Hong Kong with his sister from New York of United States and then went to his relative’s home directly in a chartered car. When traveling around Hong Kong on May 27th, the brother and sister were detected with high body temperature when entering through Shenzhen Luohu port and were immediately sent to Shenzhen No.3 People’s Hospital for medical treatment in isolation. Through the testing of the disease control laboratory of Guangdong Province, the nucleic acid of A/H1N1 influenza virus of the two persons were positive and the brother was confirmed of the first case in Shenzhen and the sister was the second. By now, although the sister has no symptom of influenza and amount of virus is decreasing, the results of the two laboratory tests are still positive. Therefore, she should still stay for hospitalization.
As of June 4th, Shenzhen has reported 5, in total, A/H1N1 influenza cases confirmed. According to the introduction of Shenzhen No. 3 People’s Hospital, the other three cases have also been detected negative in the continuous two laboratory tests and will soon leave the hospital.
