Three A/H1N1 flu cases confirmed in Shenzhen

Another three flu cases have been confirmed in Shenzhen and two of them are mother and child

According to the Municipal Disease Prevention and Control Center, Shenzhen confirmed another three A/H1N1 flu cases yesterday. By now, Shenzhen has reported 27 A/H1N1 flu cases, which are all imported cases except one case of secondary generation.

According to the introduction, the 25th case is an 11 years old Australian boy and 26th case is a 51 years old Australian woman who is the mother of the boy. The two patients arrived at Hong Kong in Flight AF29 from Melbourne on Beijing time June 20th and took the subway to Futian Port in the evening after staying at the airport for 10 hours. They were send to No.3 People’s Hospital immediately in 120 Ambulance after being detected of body temperatures at 37.6℃.

Municipal Disease Prevention and Control Center made two sample tests on these two patients on June 21st and the results all proved positive of the A/H1N1 epidemic RNA virus. After the consultation of the provincial and municipal expert group, they were confirmed as A/H1N1 flu cases.

Two close contactors of the two patients have been confirmed and one has been back to Hong Kong, while others are still in tracing.

The 27th case is a 12 years old Chinese boy, who arrived at Hong Kong on June 20th together with his mother and sister from Australia and now has been confirmed as the A/H1N1 flu case. Four close contactors of this patient have been confirmed and they are all not in Shenzhen.
