Wang Rong: Shenzhen has close partnership with Hong Kong

Member of Standing Committee of Guangdong Provincial Committee, Deputy Party Secretary of Shenzhen, Acting Mayor of Shenzhen Wang Rong who was new in office headed the delegation of Shenzhen Municipal Government to visit Hong Kong on 23rd.

During this visit, Wang Rong said frankly that there was a different feeling, “I have been to Hong Kong for several times, but this is the first time that I come as the Acting Mayor of Shenzhen. We drive here from Huanggang Port and the feeling make me make sure that Shenzhen and Hong Kong have a close partnership.”

Wang Rong said to the media after meeting with Zeng Yinquan, Chief Executive of HKSAR, under the financial crisis, Shenzhen could only maintain its position with achievements. Shenzhen’s guaranteeing increase should make more efforts in industries, projects and exports, pulling further up the economic growth and at the same time emphasize the industry update and transformation.

It’s reported that Wang Rong had paid high attention to the high and new technology enterprises, Hong Kong invested companies and subway projects in process and so on since assuming office. He put out “guaranteeing increase is the first task of Shenzhen and is of great importance”, and he also emphasized the future characteristics of Shenzhen would be presented on three aspects which are talented people gathering, innovative environment and conditions for carving out. “Only with continual innovation, can Shenzhen continue to be special,” he said.
