1 lost in the subway collapse in Shenzhen

The rescue work for the subway collapse accident occurred in Baoan Shenzhen on July 19th had come it its third day. The engineering unit held accident investigation press conference on 20th and announced that no sign of life had been detected and the rescue work was still in intensive process.

In the morning of July 20th, journalist again came to Pingzhou Station in Xixiang where the accident occurred and found that the houses had been dismantled with a 6 -meter-deep hole left on the ground where a large long-arm trencher was digging the earth and stone in the hole.

On the press conference, the spokesman Zeng Shuyong introduced to the journalist that firefighters came to the collapse areas to carry out life detection in the evening of 19th. The rescue persons first reinforced the slump block in the tunnel and then dismantled the dangerous houses around ensuring safe rescue work. The continuous rain during about 2 to 4 o’clock on 20th brought many difficulties to the searching work, but the rescue was still going on. By now the clearing and rescue work of the tunnel and ground were still in process.

It’s said that the identity of the lost worker had been identified. The worker was a 21 years old chap named Li Bo, who came to the project site only on 18th from Sichuan.

By the time releasing this news, the lost worker had not been found. The tunnel reinforcing and searching work had been carried out in an orderly way and the constructions on and around the tunnel was in controllable status.
