3 dead in the train collision
Two passenger trains collided in the railway station in Chenzhou Hunan Province on June 29th at 2:40am. According to Chenzhou publicity department, the accident caused 3 people dead and over 60 injured. All those injured passengers had been emergently sent to the nearby hospital. The south-north-direction line of the Chenzhou Railway Station resumed at about 7:00am.
It’s said that at about 2:40am this morning, the passenger train from Changsha to Shenzhen (K9017) and the train from Tongren to Shenzhen West (K9063) collided in the Railway Station in Zhengzhou.
According to the personnel of local publicity department on site, Chenzhou Party Committee and Municipal Government, after the accident occurred, immediately decided to set up temporary headquarter for the accident and relevant personnel speedily set up emergency team and came to the site for disposal and aid. In the morning at about 7:00am, the order of the station had basically resumed and all the injured passengers had been sent to nearby hospital for hospitalization. Other stranded passengers had been appropriately sent to their destinations.
At the present, the cause of the accident is still in investigation.
