5 students rescued after stranded for 7 hours in Shenzhen

5 middle school students in the summer holiday went to climb mountains on July 20th in Shenzhen. Unfortunately, they got lost and stranded on the mountain due to the darkness. After 6 hours’ searching by frontier soldiers, the 5 stranded students were finally found and taken down the mountain safely on July 21st at about 3am.

According to the principal of the 13th unit of Frontier Defense, one sentinel received the recourse of a woman who said his son Huang Haijie went to climb mountains on the same day at about 4pm together with his 4 classmates and lost their way in the mountain. According to her introduction, the students stranded in the mountain were 2 boys and 3 girls, who were all middle school students of Shenzhen Zhongnan English School.

Guangdong Frontier Defense immediately sent out about 30 soldiers who are divided into 5 rescue teams to search in the mountain. Through talking on the mobile phones of the stranded students, the frontier soldiers, according to their description, searched in the mountain full of woods, thorns and pits and without any paths.

At 1 am on July 21st, the mobile phone used to contact the rescue soldiers and parents got out of power, which made the situation more serious. The rescue soldiers quickened the speed of searching and heard the responses of the stranded students at about 2am. Finally, the 5 stranded students were safely rescued at about 3 am.
