Animals in Shenzhen got ID cards

Animals also could have their own ID cards. Shenzhen Safari Park yesterday gave each animal a special ID card by planting intelligent chips under the skin of the animals.
It’s said that those chips should be installed in different parts of different animals. The most suitable chip-installing parts of tigers and lions were under the skin of left side of necks. To guarantee the safety of the staff, some fierce animals, such as tigers and lions, were injected with anesthetic drugs before the staff started to install those chips on them. Those chips installed under the skin of those animals were in the size of a grain of rice, which would not have any side-effect on animals and also would not affect their normal life in future.
According to the staff of Shenzhen Safari Park, each chip had its unique code label that could not be used repeatedly to ensure that the individual identification of the animals was accurate. With this special ID cards, all information of the animals would be known for sure after using a card reader to scan the part that the chip was installed and this bring improvement for the maintenance, management and reproduction of the animals.
