Shenzhen allocated 5 m for criminal clue report

Shenzhen yesterday announced new reward meansures for report of law offense and crime clues. The finance of Shenzhen would allocate 5 million Yuan every year as special funds, managed and used by the Municipal Public Security Bureau as reward money of crime report. The informants could get an award of 100 to 20000 Yuan within ten days after the clue he reported was certified.

It’s said that since 2008, Shenzhen Public Security Bureau had received over 100 thousand clues reported by the masses and had awarded bonuses of over 2 million Yuan. Spokesman of Shenzhen Public Security Bureau, Shen Shaobao said it was not the first time that Shenzhen presented award for crime clue report, but the constitution of this special rule would regulate the management of award-report work. If the capital was not enough for the award presented to the informants, the public security departments could put forward new applications to the municipal finance department according to relevant procedures. The capital that remained from the former year would be carried forward to next year and was not allowed for other uses.
