Third Airbus A320 delivered to Shenzhen Airlines
On August 6, the third Airbus A320 assembled by Airbus (Tianjin) Final Assembly Co., Ltd. was formally delivered to Shenzhen Airlines.
Equipped with CFM56-5B4/3 engine, the Airbus A320-200, with production serial number of 3698, adopts passenger cabins of two classes where 8 first class seats and 150 economy class seats are installed. In the afternoon, this A320 headed for Shenyang and would perform its maiden flight for the line from Shenyang via Wuhan to Shenzhen on August 7.
At the delivering ceremony on August 6, Chief Engineer of Shenzhen Airlines, Yi Yun said, according to the development strategy, Shenzhen Airlines would also introduce several tens of A320 series of airbuses in the future.
Airbus (Tianjin) Final Assembly Co., Ltd. introduced that the airbuses assembled by Airbus Tianjin Assembly Line included A320 and A319. Except the two planes of A320 and A319 that had been delivered, there were still 8 that were assembled and test at present.
The Airbus (Tianjin) Final Assemble factory plans to complete 11 A320 series Airbuses, including 7 A320 and 4 A319. The production rate of the factory has been sped up and it’s expected to assemble 4 planes per month by the end of 2011.
Airbus (Tianjin) Final Assembly Co., Ltd is a joint venture jointly established by the Airbus Corporation and the Chinese Alliance consisted of Tianjin Binhai New Area and China Aviation Industry Corporation, which is also the first assembly line of airbuses outside of Europe.
