Art Treasures of Qi Baishi Appeared in Shenzhen

Yesterday, over 400 art treasures of Qi Baishi, a famous Chinese artist, collectively appeared in Shenzhen. This Selection Exhibition of Qi Baishi, jointly organized by the museums of the two areas of Shenzhen and Liaoning, collectively exhibited every year’s works of Qi Baishi after he engaged in the art, including the few surviving works of portraits, landscape paintings and giant paintings, which could be called the largest painting exhibition of Qi Baishi. Several famous works among the exhibitions were valued at above ten million Yuan and the famous Twenty-four Scenes of the Stone Gate was also known as a priceless treasure.

Director of Liaoning Provincial Museum, Ma Baojie told the journalist that, except the works of Qi Baishi, the Exhibition also exhibited part of his signets.

Qi Baishi is one of the most creative and influential artists of the twentieth century in China. Because Qi Liangkun, son of Qi Baishi, and Hu Wenxiao, grandson of the teacher of Qi Baishi used to work in Northeast Museum (former Liaoning Provincial Museum), so the museum collected abundant selective works of Qi Baishi.

This Exhibition will be expired on November 15.
