Three subway stations to be open in late September in Shenzhen

According to Shenzhen Metro Group on September 1, the three new subway stations of Baishizhou, Gaoxinyuan and Shenda would be formally open to traffic on September 28. The three stations locate at the densely populated centers, so it will offer great convenience to the tens of thousands of people around, effectively relieving the traffic congestion of Shennan Road.
Relevant person of Shenzhen Metro Group told the journalist that, the installment and fitting-out works of the Shoutong section of Line No.1 has been completed and the three rights of management right, use right and commanding right have been successfully taken over.
Guangdong Environmental Protection Bureau, on August 24, 2009, issued documents approving the trial operation the project, which marks that the special acceptance project of Shoutong section environmental protection of the continued project of Line No. 1 has been approved. On August 28, the government’s special acceptance before the trial operation of Line No.1’s Shoutong section was completed. On August 31, the special acceptance project of civil air defense shelter was formally approved.
Although the three sections among Baizhizhou, Gaoxinyuan and Shenda Stations are not a long metro lines, they the second metro line that Shenzhen opened following the first phase metro project opening to traffic on December 28, 2004.
Relevant person from the Metro Group said the opening of the three stations of Baishizhou, Gaoxinyuan and Shenda will provide faster service for the residents along the line, effectively dispersing the passenger flow and relieving the traffic pressure of Shennan Road, especially at the rush hour.
