11th National Artworks Exhibition opened
On the morning of October 11, the 11th National Artworks Exhibition was opened at Guanshanyue Art Museum in Shenzhen. There were 463 pieces of artworks participating in the Exhibition, which offered a fabulous artistic banquet for the citizens.
Vice Minister of the State Ministry of Culture, Chen Xiaoguang, Vice Chairman of China Culture Union, Chairman of Hong Kong Arts Development Council, Feng Yuan, Mayor of Shenzhen, Wang Rong and other leaders and guests attended the opening ceremony.
Since first held in 1949, the National Artworks Exhibition has been held once every five years till now. This Exhibition was jointly organized by the State Ministry of Culture, China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Chinese Artists Association.
According to the report, this Exhibition has industrial design, plane design, costume design, Environmental Art Design and other sort of comprehensive design. There are 3328 pieces of artworks in China applying for the Exhibition and 463 pieces are selected through voting by secret ballot, including 57 pieces of Shenzhen, occupying 12% of the total number.
