Shenzhen Lotus Mountain Park

Lotus Mountain, located in the north of the downtown of Shenzhen City, was named because it looks like lotus. It is the largest public green space in the downtown, where is sequestered and plenty of grass. As one of the most important municipal parks in Shenzhen, there is artificial lake, kite square, woodland turf, coconut forest lawn, tea house, etc. in Lotus Mountain. It is rich in scenery and landscape, and you can survey the downtown from the mountain top.

Lotus Mountain is not grandly precipitous, but only 532 meters above sea level. Rambling along the winding paths, visitors can enjoy the fun of climbing without being whacked. You may have a sense of living in paradise as you’re standing on top of the peak platform with marble flooring, leaning against granite railings, overlooking the central area of city center of Futian; especially while looking at crowds of modern urban buildings, you will exclaim, “I must ascend the mountain’s crest to dwarf all peaks under my feet.”

In pleasant days, the vast lawn in Lotus Mountain becomes an ideal place for kite flying. With the kite soaring up, visitors can not only recall the fun of childhood, but also set their heart happy and free as kites. In the south of the mountain foot, there is the Guanshanyue Gallery, whose name was personally inscribed by Jiang Zemin, the General Secretary of China. Various high-level art exhibition are often held here, providing visitors an opportunity for art appreciation.
