Shenzhen to build over ten pedestrian bridges
Luohu District of Shenzhen plans to build more than ten pedestrian bridges in the main areas under its jurisdiction within this year and next year, which will facilitate the citizens for crossing the road and also add urban landscapes for greeting the coming of the Universiade, according to the report.
Seen from the pedestrian bridge of Yinhu Bus Station just completed, the pedestrian bridge is uniquely designed with dignity. The silvery white bridge body bestrides the two sides of Beihuan Road and shines under the sunshine.
Passengers who want to cross the road don’t need to pass around the overpass far away and can easily cross the road through this bridge, which make the traffic condition and city appearance obviously improved. On the east section of Sungang Road, a brand new pedestrian bridge of Sungang Road Children’s Garden flies over the north and south part. This 57.45 meters long and 3.7 meters wide bridge has got satisfactions of the citizens passing by.
It’s said that, except for Yinhu Bus Station, Sungang Road Children’s Garden, Caopuxi etc., Luohu also plans to build another 8 pedestrian bridges, including the recent pedestrian bridges of Longyuan Villa, Qinghu Villa, Cuizhu Shuibei, Dongmen North Road, Luosha Road and Sungang Village. Currently, the public bidding work for those projects have been finished and next step’s work will be implemented.
Relevant person of the Construction Bureau of Luohu District said Luohu district would strive to complete these projects in the next step for boosting the holding of the Universiade.
