CHTF Strives to Be the Best Science and Technology Fair
The 11th China Hi-Tech Fair is grandly opened at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center Today. Wang Yang, the member of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau and Guangdong provincial party secretary, pointed out that Hi-tech Fair would strive to be the world’s best science and technology fair.
On the theme of “Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Development”, the CHTF covers electronic information, opto-electrical, new energy, energy-saving environmental protection, bio-medicine and other fields. There are “Information Technology and Products Exhibition,” “New Energy and Energy-saving Environmental Protection Exhibition,” “Internet Applications and Software Services Exhibition,” and “Electronics Show,” etc. It is expected to have more than 50 million visitors.
According to the organizing committee principal, “the Forum of Ministers” of CHTF regarded “Development Strategy of New Industries Leading the Economic Recovery” as its theme. Some Chinese ministers and ten foreign ministers from Finland, Israel, Hungary, Russia, Switzerland, Vietnam, Ghana, Bangladesh, Oman, and Cambodia would give speeches on the Forum.
“Sino-foreign CEO Forum” would take “Crisis, Reform, and Sustainable Development” as its theme. Many executives from DuPont, Hitachi Universal, Cisco, IDG, Freescale, VIA, Great Wall Computer, Star Bridge International Inc, etc. would attend and address on the Forum.
“Capital Market Summit Forum” subjected to development of GEM and Innovative Corporation, Many guests would attend and give lecture on the Forum, including the Finance Secretary of National Development and Reform Commission Xu Lin, the famous economist Xu Xiaonian, the Director of China Securities Regulatory Commission Research Center Qi Bin, the Vice-Chairman of JP Morgan China Investment bank Frank Gong, as well as executives from the New York Stock Exchange, London Stock Exchange, China Securities Regulatory Commission.
There would be 26 pavilions from 17 countries such as the United States, Russia, Germany, France, Hungary, Belgium, Austria, the Netherlands, Denmark, Poland, Ireland, Finland, Australia, the Philippines, etc taking part in CHTF.
Delegations from various provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, and cities would also attend the Fair, so would the delegations from 27 well-known colleges and universities such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong Chinese University, Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Gao Guohui, deputy Secretary-General of the Shenzhen Municipal Government said that Shenzhen would implement revitalization plan in three major areas indluding new energy, biological and IT, and it would utilize organic operation of science and technology, human resources, and capital to transform and apply scientific and technological achievements. Shenzhen is a paradise for entrepreneurs, where creative, inventive and innovative talents at home and abroad are welcome to settle down and realize their business life and dreams of wealth.
