Shenzhen Moon Bay Park of Nanshan District

Moon Bay Park, also known as Lianzhen Park, started construction on 5^th August, 2006, which was built by six construction corps at the same time arranged by relevant department. District leaders, such as Ye Minghui, the Party Secretary of Nanshan District, Liu Qingsheng, the District Commissioners, as well as leaders of Urban Administrative Bureau and Nanshan street community, had come on site many times to arrange and supervise the project. By the joint efforts of various units, the main construction of Moon Bay Park was basically completed within just 6 months. Thereafter, the park’s construction office modified the park to be perfect.

Moon Bay Park is located in the southwest corner of Sekou Area in Nanshan District, which pertains to the east bank of Zhujiang River Estuary. It is an arcuate seacoast of 5km in length, facing Zhuhai City over the sea. There are Dachan Island, Xiaochan Island, and Ling Ting Island nearby.

There are seven scenic spots: Theme Square Area of Chang E flying to the moon, Peach valley Scenic Spot, Breeze and Blue Moon Scenic Spot, Moonlight over the Lotus Pond Scenic Spot, Galaxy moon Scenic Spot, Qingfeng Garden Scenic Spot, and Lichees Ecotope. The park has luxuriant vegetation, leisurely flowing stream, delightful sounds of birds, and refreshing air. The statute of Lady in the Moon, Breeze and Blue Moon Scenic Spot, Moonlight over the Lotus Pond Scenic Spot, Galaxy moon Scenic Spot, and the poetry on lamp-posts of park plaza, all of which link closely to the moon culture and interpret the connotation of the moon culture through fine views. Supervisory Bureau and Urban Administrative Bureau also make full use of the park resources to blend public integrity education in it by writing poetry relevant to public integrity on lamp-posts and passageway, so visitors can feel the atmosphere of public integrity culture.

The establishment of Moon Bay Park greatly has improved neighboring environment, so that residents nearby live more comfortable. Moon Bay region residents in 12 residential areas such as Prince Villa sent a plaque to express their deep gratitude to Nanshan District Government and the District Urban Management Bureau. On the opening ceremony of Moon Bay Park, the representative of Moon Bay region residents expressed thanks to the government for their committing to improving the environment and bringing tangible benefits to people.
