No serious adverse reaction appeared in Shenzhen

16,000 Shenzhen people have been inoculated with H1N1 flu vaccine and no serious adverse reactions appear. The trend of the whole city’s H1N1 flu epidemic situation is still steadily upwards, according to the H1N1 Flu Prevention and Control Conference held by Shenzhen Emergency Office on November 15. The Conference also said the H1N1 flue vaccine supplied by the nation would arrive in Shenzhen in succession and the citizens had no need to go to Hong Kong for inoculation.

On the Conference, relevant department reported that there were 16,000 people in total that had been inoculated with H1N1 flu vaccine and no allergic shock, laryngeal edema and other serious adverse reactions appeared. Deputy Inspector of Commission of Health, Population and Family Planning of Shenzhen Municipality, Xie Ruosi said, from the condition of the vaccine inoculation as of now, some people were found adverse reactions, but “the reactions are all not serious, within the control range of the Department of Health.”

By now, China has reported two deaths after vaccine inoculation, one of which has been excluded with the possibility that the death are caused by acute vaccine allergic shock and the other is still waiting for the autopsy result. According to the early reports of Medias, the first batch of inoculation objects in Shenzhen are those who work with Police Office, Customs and Health Organization and others who work in the first-line key posts. The H1N1 flu vaccines for common citizens’ inoculation will arrive in Shenzhen by January to March of next year. Some Shenzhen citizens who are impatient will go to Hong Kong for inoculation by December.
