Shenzhen’s 4th Park Cultural Festival opened

Shenzhen’s Fourth Park Cultural Festival was opened at Shenzhen International Garden and Fower Expo Park yesterday, presenting a cultural pageant that has been well prepared for the citizens.

On the opening ceremony, former Chairman of World Rose Association Gerald Mairan and Vice Chairman came specially to award the medal of “World Famous Rose Garden” for Shenzhen Municipal People’s Park.

At the same time, the representatives of the national key parks from all over the country held “Sustainable Development Seminar for National Key Parks” at Yuanbo Park in Shenzhen, which is the first monographic study and discussion on the development of the national key parks in China.

Compared to the former Cultural Festival, the activity this time has covered a more extensive area. Vice Mayor of Shenzhen, Lv Ruifeng and Vice-Chairman of CPPCC of Shenzhen, Chen Guanguang and President of Park Association of China etc. took part in the opening ceremony and awarded banners for 20 undertaking units. Lv Ruifeng said in the address that the former three Cultural Festivals had attracted nearly 900 citizens’ passion and participation, which was an important reflection of the government handling concrete affairs in a down-to-earth manner for the citizens. This activity not only built an atmosphere of auspicious home and civilized and harmonious society, but also promoted implementation of the strategy of “building the city with culture” and showed the spirit of “harmonious Shenzhen and effective Shenzhen”.
