Shenzhen’s technical talents amount to nearly 2 million

In recent years, the construction of occupational ability in Shenzhen has obtained obvious achievement, according to the relevant information. The total amount of the technical talents currently in Shenzhen have reached 1.91 million persons, including 320,000 senior technicians and above.

It’s reported that the construction of the occupational ability has developed fast in recent years and Shenzhen has established relatively consummate law and regulation system, construction and management service system of occupational ability and identification system for occupational ability construction. By now, Shenzhen’s technical talents have reached 1.91 million persons, including senior technicians of 320,000 persons, 17% of the total amount, medium-level workers of 45%, and junior-level workers of 38%.

By now, Shenzhen has had 8 vestibule schools with 16500 students, 292 vocational training institutes with annual training volume of 500,000 persons, and 46 vocational skill identification institutes with annual identification volume of 180,000 persons. Shenzhen also can carry out over 300 occupational training testing items with the type of work covering over 20 industries.

In addition, on the training of high-skilled talents, Shenzhen insists on the principle of local training and corporation training.

It’s remarkable that Shenzhen has paid high attention on the enhancement of skill level of the millions of farmer workers. Since 2006, there have been 440,000 farmer workers who have received training identification subsidies from financial fund and another 300,000 persons are anticipated to obtain these subsidies this year.
