Shenzhen Big Nanshan Reform and Opening-Up Memorial Park is located in Big Nanshan in the southwest of Shenzhen, which is the main peak of Nanshan mountain range, with ancient temples and beacon tower Ruins of Qing Dynasty on its top. Ascending the Mountain to look far, you will see green pines, blue cypress, boundless sea and sky, cultural relics such as Chiwan Turret, Tin Hau Temple, Emperor Mausoleum, as well as Evergreen Resort etc. All the new tourist attractions are in your sights. Since ancient times, this area have been scenic spots and historic sites, Chiwan Scenic Spots is even reputed as the No.1 among Xin’an Eight Sceneries. The former state and new face of present Big Nanshan are complementary to each other, which represents a magnificent picture integrating historic culture and modern civilization.

 

Big Nanshan lies in Nantou Peninsula of Shenzhen, surrounded by Shekou Industrial Zone. Its peak is 336 meters in height. The luxuriant forests cover the mountain. Climbing the mountain and gazing far, you will enjoy a marvelous view of the Shenzhen Bay scenery: buildings of Shenzhen Center, Hong Kong, Lau Fau Mountains, and Yuen Long in the distance, as well as Nansh Peninsula and Bao’an Metro nearby. In 1994, Shekou Industrial Zone built sidewalk and pavilion in Nanshan. Nowadays, Nanshan has become a major attraction in western Shenzhen.
