Shenzhen Delegation takes part in FISU Executive Board Meeting
Federation of International University Sports (FISU) held the Executive Board Meeting and FISU Plenary Session at Arziron, Turkey, the holding place of 2011 Winter Universiade on local time November 13 to November 14. Chairman of FISU, Vice-Chairman and member of the Executive Board attended the meeting. As scheduled, the delegations of the holding cities of 2011 and 2013 Summer Universiade and Winter Universiade attended the meeting and respectively stated the work report.
The Organizing Committee Delegation of Shenzhen Universiade, headed by Huang Guoqiang, Vice-Secretary of Shenzhen Municipal Government and Vice Executive Director of the Universiade Executive Board, had made good preparation for the sixth process report. After arriving at Arziron, the delegation had received guidance and help from the leaders of China’s Federation of University Sports and successively carried out full communication with the executive members and Secretary General of the FISU, winning their understanding and support for the preparation work of Shenzhen Universiade.
Vice Secretary Huang Guoqiang pointed out in his speech that, as an important part of Shenzhen Universiade, the FISU Academic Assembly had been listed as a milestone in the preparation work of Shenzhen University, and had won great attentions of the Executive Committee of the Universiade. Shenzhen University had been authorized to organized and prepare for the assembly, which had won unanimous agreement of the executive members of FISU. They all said that, with the citizens’ concern and attentions from above to below, the FISU Academic Assembly in Shenzhen was sure to be a success.
After the meeting, the delegation went to Winter Universiade Village in Arziron and paid a visit on the accommodation and catering of the athlete village, through which relevant experience for preparation work of Shenzhen has been accumulated.
