Shenzhen Metro Line 5 again overcomes difficulties

The right-line tunnel of No.3 and No.4 vertical shafts between Buxin Station and Taian Station of Shenzhen Metro Line 5 was completed at about 2 o’clock on November 23, which was 23 days ahead of the scheduled completion time. What’s important is that this tunnel is the bored section with the worst geological condition, the shallowest buried depth and the highest risk level. The completion of this tunnel has laid a good foundation for the realization of the goal of completing Metro Line 5 by February 2010.

The tunnel of No.3 and No.4 vertical shafts between Buxin Station and Taian Station of Shenzhen Metro Line 5, with total length of 178 meters, was constructed by China Railway WuJu(Group) Corporation. According to the introduction of relevant person of the project, this section of tunnel has abundant underground water, thick weathered sand bed, extremely geological conditions and other construction difficulties. During the construction process, the engineering staff optimized the construction plan, distribution of resources and site management and refined the construction schedule to each day and each process, surging a construction climax and finally completed the tunnel 23 days ahead of the schedule.
