Scenic Spot and Historic Site of Phoenix Mountain is located in Phoenix Village’s Phoenix Mountain in Fuyong Town of Baoan District. Phoenix Mountain, 678 meters above sea level and 1.2 square kilometers in circumference, is majestic and precipitous, just like the new moon besetting on the coast of West China Sea, hanging on rich fields of the southland, overlooking Lingdingyang in the west and viewing Shenzhen Bay in the south. This multi-peaked mountain has flourished vegetation, delightful sounds of birds, flowers and fruits drifting fragrance, leisurely flowing streams, secluded valley, various rocks and brilliance temples. The mountains and waters, together with steep walls and caves, constitute a beautiful scenery and magnificent landscape scroll.

The whole Scenic Spots consists of three sections: scenic site of Pagoda at the foot of the mountain, scenic site of Old Temple in the mountain, and scenic site of Sunset glow on the peak of the mountain. Scenic site of Pagoda includes Phoenix Wenchang Tower, Canine Stone, Buddhas manifesting Torii, Scent of Black Bull, and Hippocrene of holy water, etc. Scenic site of Old Temple is the body section of Phoenix scenic spot, including Pure Dew, the Phoenix Cave, and the Macrobiosis Well.

Scenic site of Sunset glow consists of the Wandfu Holl, the Lake of stalactites, and the Lion Monolith.

Climbing Precautions:

1. Plan tourism route in advance; fully comprehend traffic situation; and pay attention to falling rock and verges collapse after going into the mountainous area.

2. Before climbing, pay attention to your clothing and shoes, carry with as light packs as possible; choose flattie such as sports shoes, cloth shoes, and sneakers, but not high heels shoes, so as to avoid inconvenience and safety nuisance; notice the length, weight and burliness of the stick you take.

3. Pay attention to weather forecasts before you set off, and timely change clothes; use poncho instead umbrella when it is raining, which is for lightning protection and electricity-proof, and also prevention of being blown away by the strong wind.

4. Don’t view when you are walking; take notice of your safety when photographing; and choose safe place and angel; in particular, pay more attention to weathered rocks.

5. Pay attention to your own safety, do not travel without permission in the unopened, dangerous and unattended mountain; don’t swimming in the waters of deep pools and streams without lifeguard around.

6. Pay attention to fire prevention; don’t smoke along the way. Cherish natural environment, and don’t destroy the landscape resources; remain clean and tidy of the scenic environment, and don’t arbitrarily discarded rubbish.
