Shenzhen plans 3.5 billion for government-subsidized houses
Shenzhen proposes to invest 35.06 billion Yuan to construct 22,300 government-subsidized houses next year, 80% of which will be used for renting, according to Shenzhen Housing and Construction Bureau.
It’s reported that Shenzhen has drafted the “Shenzhen’s Housing Security Plan for 2010 (draft for comments)”, which has been announced on the official website of Shenzhen Housing and Construction Bureau for soliciting the social opinions and suggestions. According to the Plan, Shenzhen will supply lands for the government-subsidized houses of 30 hectares, of which 8 hectares are for affordable houses and 22 hectares are for other government-subsidized houses. To guarantee the regional balance of the construction of government-subsidized houses and rationalization of its supply and demand, the Special Administration Zone plans to increase the supply of lands for government-subsidized houses by 6 hectares within the zone and 24 hectares outside the zone.
Shenzhen plans to construct 22300 units of government subsidized houses next year, with total construction areas of 1,048,100 square meters, of which 4460 units are affordable houses with construction areas of 245300 square meters.
