Shenzhen Universiade’s Cultural Symbols show up on the World Design Assembly
“Shenzhen Time- Shenzhen Design Exhibition for the 2011 Universidad” appeared ceremoniously on Beijing 2009 World Design Assembly and the First Beijing International Design Week at 18:00 pm on October 27. Liang Daoxing, Member of the leading Party Group of Shenzhen Municipal Government and Vice Chairman of the Executive Commission and Director of the Executive Board of the 26th World Universiade Summer Game, addressed the opening ceremony of the Exhibition and sent invitations to the friends and guests from all over the world for participating in the cultural pageant of the 2011 Universiade.
Hosted by the Ministry of Education, Cultural Department and Beijing Municipal Government and undertaken by China Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing Gehua Group, National Centre for the Performing Arts and Beijing Industrial Design Centre, the 2009 World Design Assembly was held in Beijing from October 24 to October 30, with the them of “Xin-Letter” indicating the communication of “information” and the passing of “faith”, which is to seek for transparent and mutual-trust dialogue and global cooperation and this is also the first time for China to obtain the holding right of the Assembly.
The World Design Assembly known as “Olympics of the Design Circle” this time has attracted over 1500 famous designers from all over the world to jointly discuss the plans for promoting economic development, creating social values and building harmonious society, which will greatly promote the development of Beijing’s design and creative industries. The activities of the Design Assembly include the Convention of ICOGRADA Members (October 24 to 25), the International Design forum (October 26 to 28), the International Design Education Forum (October 29 to 30) and other design relating exhibitions and activities.
