Shenzhen Universiade Centre Wins Golden Steel Award
Good news comes from Shenzhen Universiade Centre that the steel structure project of the main stadium has passed the assessment of the experts from China Construction Metal Structure Association, winning the top honor award for project quality in China’s construction steel structure industry- “Golden Steel Award”.
As the golden award for steel structure of China’s construction project, the Golden Steel Award is appraised once a year for the construction steel structure project constructed by the companies engaging in the manufacture and installment of construction steel structure, which require the project quality to reach domestic leading level. The winning of this award of the Universiade Centre indicates that the quality of the main stadium is at the domestic leading level.
With novel and unique shape, the steel structure project of the main stadium of the Universiade Centre adopts single-layer reticulated structure, which is firstly used in the large public construction in China. It’ said that, with 18000 seats, the main stadium of the Universiade Centre is a multifunctional stadium with an integration of the games of badminton, gymnastics, basketball, volleyball and indoor short track speed skating, which could satisfy the function requirement of different kind of international comprehensive events and special championships. Currently, the steel structure installment of the main stadium has completed and construction of the stand plate hoisting and the curtain wall are in process.
