ZTE’s Global GSM Equipments Acquire 20% Market Share
As foreign media reported on 19th Nov., an official of ZTE said that ZTE would acquire about one-fifth market share of the world GSM wireless mobile equipments by the end of this year. ZTE would remain active growth next year.
The vice president Zhao Yizhe, who is in charge of ZTE GSM equipment, revealed to Reuters that ZTE GSM equipment sales revenue increase had been doubled every year in the past few years, so that ZTE had become the third largest manufacturers only next to Ericsson and Huawei in the world.
Zhao Yizhe said that his department had kept double growth in the past three quarters this year, and it would be expected to maintain the same high growth in 2010. When participated in the Telecoms Exhibition in Hong Kong, he said in an interview that their current market share was about 18% and it would exceed 20% by the end of this year.
In spite of a global economic recession, both ZTE and Huawei have maintained increase this year. The generous support from the Chinese government assists to their growth. The Chinese government’s policy makes it easier to finance for equipment.
ZTE has got $25 billion low-interest loans to support its customers in purchase expense earlier this year. Since then, about half of the new GSM device users use this loan to pay their purchase expense.
