Based on the entire interoperation of GPON physical layer and link layer, this test in China introduced BBF (Broadband Forum) TR-156 broadband access business model standards for the first time. Therefore, it has been considered to be a key milestone that global GPON becomes mature to be commercially applied.
According to sources, all equipment manufacturers performed good business interoperability, especially Alcatel-Lucent and Huawei with interoperability of as much as 100%, Ericsson and the other chip vendors performed very prominently as well.
Subsequently FSAN will further organize GPON IOP interoperability tests in France, USA and the other regions, promoting more manufacturers to achieve full interoperability and steady development of GPON industry chain all over world.
