Main structure of “Bamboo Forest” in Shenzhen completed

Baoan District Public Works Bureau, together with the construction unit and supervision unit, witnessed the concrete pouring of the last piece of the stand, which indicates that the main body of “Southern Bamboo Forest” has been completed ahead of schedule.

Baoan Stadium is the football competition field of 26th Shenzhen 2011 Universiade. The project, with total area of about 120,000 square meters and total construction area of 100,000 square meters, is consist of the main stadium, warm-up training field, Baoan spare-time sports schools, underground park and relevant public facilities, with total investment of 750 million Yuan.

The main stadium is designed to have 40 thousand seats, and could undertake large sport events, as well as large concerts, ceremonies etc. after the football game of Shenzhen Univerisade, which is a public convention center integrating the functions of sports, entertainment, leisure, assembly, sightseeing etc. After completion, it could become an important landmark building in the new central area in Baoan district.

According to the introduction, the main body of Baoan Stadium was started on all-round base on May 20. Under the careful organization of the district Public Works Bureau, each construction related unit gave up their holidays and struggled hard day and night. As of now, project investment of 210 million Yuan has been completed accumulatively, over fulfilling the annual investing plan of 200 million Yuan.
