Microsoft becomes sole supplier for Shenzhen Universiade
Microsoft (China) Co., Ltd and the Executive Board of the Organizing Committee of Shenzhen 2011 Universiade held a signing ceremony at Shenzhen Sheraton Hotel yesterday afternoon, announcing Microsoft has become the sole system software supplier for Shenzhen 2011 Summer Universiade. Standing Member of Shenzhen Party Committee and Executive vice Mayor Xu Qin, Vice Chairman of the Executive Commission and Executive Board of the Universiade Liang Daoxing, and Vice President and Manager General of Public Utility Department of Microsoft Wang Xin took part in the ceremony.
Microsoft is the fifth sole supplier that has signed cooperation agreement with Shenzhen Universiade following Crystal CG, Chenguang Dairy, Avant Ltd and Kuailianda Co., Ltd. According to the agreement, Microsoft will make its full efforts to support the Organizing Committee of the Universiade to create a “Science and Technology Unviersiade” for this event and Microsoft will supply system software solutions and services for the organization and management of the Universiade, including the system software for client operation, system software for server operation, office software, Portal Middleware and so on. In addition, Microsoft will also provide technical service support for Shenzhen 2011 Universiade, including project architecture, project management consultation, technical support and other services.
Xu Qin said, “The cooperation between Microsoft and the Universiade will make every person, especially the university students and the youth group with great potentials fully experience the professional service concept and corporation spirits of contributing to the society of Microsoft Corporation. We believe Microsoft’s innovative technical capacity could provide reliable technical security for the successful holding of the Universiade. ”
