China Railway to build south headquarter in Shenzhen

Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Deputy Mayor of Shenzhen, Wang Rong met with President of China Railway Group Limited, Li Changjin and his party at Civic Centre in Shenzhen yesterday.

China Railway is the second largest construction corporation, whose business turnover last year was up to 346 billion Yuan with an increase rate of 40%. Wang Rong pointed out China Railway has made important contributions to the development of Shenzhen’s economical society over the years, and it also performed deeds of valour in the process of completing the task of sustaining economic growth of Shenzhen. He said that during the construction of railway transit of Line 5, the corporation owned by China Railway presented its excellent managing ability and powerful technological strength. It’s believed that Shenzhen and China Railway have an extensive cooperation space on aspects of urban renewal, integration of the special zone, infrastructure construction, urban environment improvement etc. He hopes that China Railway could give more supporting for the infrastructure construction in Shenzhen and also hopes that the construction of railway transit Line 5 could aim at the most developed countries and districts as well as the most advanced metro projects, guaranteeing the quality and promoting its development.

Li Changjin expressed his gratitude for the great supporting of Shenzhen for the construction project of China Railway in Shenzhen. He said China Railway will devote its every effort for the construction of Shenzhen Metro Line 5 in process, guaranteeing the completion and use by June 30 next year. Base on Shenzhen’s favorable development environment and the cooperation basis of the two parties, China Railway will build its south headquarter in Shenzhen.
