Dapeng Qianchi Abalone Farm, located in Daya Bay Beach of eastern Shenzhen, covers an area of 60,000 m2.
Abalone ranges the first place of “abalone, holothurian, shark-fin and swim-bladder.” The fat delicious Dapeng abalone is famous for its native to Dapeng Bay, Daya Bay area. Dapeng town area committee and town government energetically promote “Blue Economy” and invigorate the economy with the famous Dapeng Abalone as the leading role. Since the end of 1998, the town invested more than 17 millions RMB to start up the construction project of Dapeng Qianchi Abalone Farm, which brought many positive effects.
Building pools on land, bringing sea water into pools, and culture the rare Dapeng Abalone on land with use of advanced technology has been listed as one of the new economic growth points of Dapeng. More than 1,200 abalone pools and more than 500 abalone breeding pools will be built. After all of them are completed and put into production, Dapeng Qianchi Abalone Farm will become a national important abalone aquiculture base, and enable Dapeng Abalone to occupy the domestic and international abalone markets with a new posture.
