Huawei Technology Town to be started after Spring Festival
Good news comes to the residents and corporations in Longgang district, Shenzhen that the construction of Huawei Technology Town project, invested by Xinghe, Poly Group, Kaisa, Sun Hung KAI Properties and other powerful corporations, will be started after the Spring Festival.
As the seat of the Huawei Technologies, the Bantian Neighborhood in Longgang District Shenzhen, accounting for an floor area of 28 square kilometers, has achieved gross output value of industry and agriculture of 143.5 billion Yuan, up by 20.9% compared to the same period last year, and tax revenue of 13.6 billion Yuan, up by 35.5% in the 11 months from January to November in 2009, of which Huawei Technologies, the leading corporation in this district, contributed for 120.8 billion Yuan, realizing output value increment of 15 billion Yuan.
However, what is inharmonious with the fine environment inside Huawei is that the public facilities around Bantian is quite deficient, which has bothered the corporations and residents around for a long time.
On the Plenary Session of Longgang District Committee concluded on January 20 this year, Secretary of the District Committee, Jiang Zunyu and Warden of the District, Zhang Bei required the whole district to serve Huawei and other backbone corporations in the Longgang District. The District advocates promoting the planning and construction program of “Huawei Technology Town” to create a town with outstanding industrial feature, complete supporting facilities and excellent human living environment and with Huawei base as its core area.
