Huawei to cooperate with T-Mobile on M2M

Huawei, a leading provider of next-generation telecommunication network solutions, announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with German Telecom and T-Mobile, planning to work together to develop and sell the M2M (machine-to-machine) service.

Marc Busgen, Sale and Development Chief of the Customer Department of T-Mobile Germany said the agreement with Huawei is an important step in its positioning in the market that M2M develops, “with this agreement, we, jointly with our international partner, could meet the specific and customized demands of different users to the utmost extent, basing on our products and solutions with enhanced performance standard of mobile bandwidth network.”

Huawei side said that the agreement with German Telecom and T-Mobile enhances its leading telecom operator image in Germany and Europe. Its innovative products are the premise of providing professional M2M solution and users can adopt Huawei’s products to create added value.

According to the MOU, the cooperation includes obtaining pilot customers of the strategic project, jointly identifying and developing M2M solution customers.

Huawei and T-Mobile have been cooperating since 2009. The two parties have deployed European’s largest LTE/SAE trial network in Austria to carry out several joint experiments, and Huawei also customized Android cellphone T-Mobile Pulse for T-Mobile.
