ZTE wins the “IPTV Supplier Award” of Telecom Asia
ZTE Corporation announced that it has won the 2009 IPTV Supplier Award of Telecom Asia, which is another honor of ZTE after obtaining the IPTV Annual Best Equipment Award issued by Frost & Sullivan in 2009.
Sponsored by authoritative industry media Telecom Asia, this IPTV Supplier Award recipient is selected by over 56 industry analysts, consultants and senior executives. ZTE attributes its winning of this prize to its advanced IPTV technology and its advanced position in the global market.
“ZTE is honored to win this price.” Chu Yanli, Director of International IPTV market of ZTE said, “in the past ten year, the global IPTV users have exceeded 30 million people. In 2009, IPTV’s development is quite fast, but it also faces numerous challenges, such as how to advance its technology to keep itself staying at the leading position, how to minimize the CAPEX and OPEX to increase profits and how to increase users’ experience and increase the state’s revenue. As an excellent IPTV equipment manufacturer, ZTE is willing to contribute to the development of the IPTV industrial chain working together with each partner. ”
In 2009, ZTE won an internaitonal telecommunication expansion project from Beltelecom, a VNPT IPTV project from Vietnam and a CANTV IPTV project from Venezuela. To date, ZTE has won 23 commercial IPTV contracts worldwide. According to the latest report of Frost&Sullivan, ZTE’s market share has ranked the first in Asia’s IPTV market and the third in the world.
