By bus 30, 35, 201, shuttle bus 201, 218, 222, 334, or 361 and take off at Meilin Yi Cun, then head north to Meilin Reservoir.
Merlin, named after its massive plum trees in former times, now is covered with litchi trees. On summer afternoons, lychees redden each piece of the mountain; at late autumn dusk, there is a profusion of yellowish Milan along the cliff, as well as many unknown wildflowers growing tenaciously by the roadside; in spring night, you can look up at the stars and listen to the springs flowing down. It is the paradise next to Meilin Reservoir that the people in the city are dreaming for.
