The club is about 20 minutes driving from Shekou, and 1.5 hour away from Hong Kong by bus; Hong Kong is about 45 minutes away from Shekou by ship, and 45 minutes away from Huanggang Club by shuttle bus.

Shenzhen SGD Golf Club, located in Shennan Road of the center of Futian District, Shenzhen, only 8 minutes driving from Huanggang Border, is the one nearest to Hong Kong, and lies opposite Sweet Lake Resort. With an area of 1,360,000 m2, it boasts a golf court featuring 27 holes of international level and 108 pars.

Since 1985, the Japan player Isao Aoki and Hong Kong professional players have supported the completion of 18 holes and the other 9 holes. In 1997, the Board fund reconstruction of the court, and engaged famous designer Mr. Neil Haworth from Nelson & Haworth Architect Co. to redesign the court. With well-groomed trees retained, the court was added with sand traps and pools, replaced new grass seed, and built the latest computer-controlled sprinkler system and drainage system at the same time.

The longest hole is the 1st hole with a fairway of 525 yards and par5 in Field B. The 8th hole in Field C also boasts a par5 fairway with 520-yard in length. The various layouts, the building in the course with sinuous landform, the clear lake-water and the green grass form a natural beautiful scene.
