Shenzhen’s International Patent Application Ranks No.1
According to reporter, Shenzhen’s application for international patent reached 3800 pieces, increased by 40% last year, which accounts for 47% of the national applications for international patents. Shenzhen’s international patent application ranks No.1 for six consecutive years till now.

It is reported that a large number of backbone enterprises in Shenzhen, with independent innovation advantage and the support of China’s economy, have shown strong compression capabilities and innovative vigor to promote the growth of Shenzhen’s international patent applications.
According to WIPO statistics, Shenzhen ZTE’s international patent applications reached 502 last year, with an increase of 52.58%, whose increase ranks first in global business. And Shenzhen Huawei took the place of Philips’ global supremacy for 10 consecutive years at the end of 2008. Its international open patent applications ranked second in 2009.
It is also reported that the total number of Shenzhen’s international and national patents applications ranked No.3 in China in 2009, while its invention patents ranked No.2.
