Shenzhen ICIF Grows to Be International Brand
The preparatory work for the sixth International Cultural Industry Fair (ICIF) has entered the countdown in Shenzhen. Yesterday morning, the municipal government held a meeting to study and plan for the ICIF. Deputy Secretary of Provincial Committee, Secretary of Municipal Party Committee Liu Pu, and Provincial Standing Committee and Acting Mayor Wang Rong stressed the need to further improve the soft environment and to integrate high-quality resources, so as to host a successful Fair and create it as a truly international brand.
Compared with the previous ICIF, the sixth Fair projects its trade financing function. As the two major highlights of this Fair, “Shenzhen Cultural Property Exchange” and “China Cultural Industry Investment Fund” are expected to debut. Relying on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange’s features, this exhibition will set up a “Shenzhen Cultural Property Exchange Services Zone” and “Property and Copyright Trading Service Zone”, to provide specialized or market-oriented services for cultural property and projects trading, to further improve the soft environment for investment and enhance financing capabilities.
Liu Pu and Wang Rong demanded relevant departments to accelerate the preparations for ICIF, to further strengthen the cultural industry trading functions. By the combination of exhibition and trade, it expects to attract foreign investment significantly and further enhance the brand effect and influence of ICIF.
It is learned that the sixth ICIF’s exhibition order work has been progressing smoothly. Up to now, 96% of the main exhibition hall has been ordered, which will be completed by the end of March. This ICIF has further expanded the scale. Now there are 1745 delegations formed by governments, businesses and exhibitors identified to attend the Fair, which is more than that of last year.
