Shenzhen Imposes utilization of solar energy on commercial housing

Vice Chairman of Shenzhen Municipal Committee of CPPCC, Yu Huihong and Huang Zhongwei went to Shenzhen Eastern Development (Group) Co., Ltd and made an investigation on solar energy heating system yesterday. According to the introduction, Shenzhen, from this year, will fund 80 million Yuan into each kind of solar energy utilization projects and place emphasis on the energy saving reconstruction of the low-income housing and factories.

Relevant person of the Bureau of Housing and Construction of Shenzhen Municipality revealed during the investigation that taking market as a lead and the property management company as the main body of energy saving and emission reduction is the experience that Shenzhen will extensively promote. He also added that Shenzhen currently has applied for 150 million Yuan energy saving and emission reduction capital from the Ministry of Housing and Urban-rural Development, of which the capital that will support the utilization of solar energy will exceed 100 million Yuan.

In the end of 2009, Shenzhen formally became the demonstration city of solar energy photoelectricity utilization of China, for which the state funded 80 million Yuan supporting capital and 60% has been received by now. In addition, Shenzhen has forced the commercial residential housing with less than 12 floors to utilize solar energy.
