Shenzhen join hands with Samara, Russia
The signing ceremony for the Cooperation Frame Agreement developed between Shenzhen and Samara, a state of Russia, was held in Shenzhen yesterday. Standing Member of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Deputy Mayor of Shenzhen, Wang Rong and Governer of Samara, Russia, representing the two parties signed the Agreement. Consul General of Russia in Guangzhou Kotov took part in. In addition, the signing ceremony of corporations in Shenzhen and Samara was also held in Shenzhen.
Samara, locating in the middle of the European part of Russia, has enjoyed a world-wide reputation with its manufacturing and heavy industries, such as manufacture of aviation, aerospace and chemical products and the assembly of airplanes and automobiles as well as components production. Shenzhen and Samara have established friendly-city relations since 2008.
Invited by Shenzhen Government, Governor of Samara Russia, leading the delegation, came to Shenzhen for investigation yesterday. “Samara is focusing on heavy industry and is relatively weak on electronic information products. If it can integrate well with the advantages of Shenzhen corporations, it will benefit the two cities. EVOC will consider setting up an office and a subsidiary, if it goes smoothly, in Samara.” General Manager of EVOC Group, Sun Wei said. Other representatives of the corporations that have signed the agreements said the signing of the Cooperation Agreement with the delegation of Samara Russia proceeds the confidence of China’s hi-tech corporations to walk out of China and march into oversea markets, and at the same time confirms China technology’s strength of continually catching up with and surpassing the internationally advanced level.
