As a space crop breeding base built by Shenzhen Agricultural Science Group in cooperation with Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenzhen Space Crops Garden is the only space crops theme park in China that involves science education, leisure and tourism, products display, scientific research, and academic exchanges.
The garden is located in Sweet Lake Agricultural Science Center with convenient traffic. It features more than 400 kinds of crops carried by the Shenzhou series of spacecrafts and Russian spacecrafts, which includes huge space pumpkins nearly two jin, melons shaped like mice, space eggplants as big as footballs or as small as eggs, colorful space capsicums, space calabashes 1 meter high, space tomatoes with high nutritional value, cucumbers, towel gourds, chilies, beans, as well as colorful space morning-glories, spider flowers, orchids, coleus hybrids and other space flowers.
Children will not only know a lot of common vegetables, flowers, fruits, but also can broaden space agricultural knowledge and fully appreciate the magic of spaceflight technology and the nature. The park also has catching loaches, trampolines, rock climbing, beach volleyball and other outdoor activities.
Since opened in October 2004, the park has received more than 10 million schoolchildren and kindergarten children to develop activities such as spring outing, autumn outing and summer camps for its strong science, good security and rich activities. It has become an ideal place for children in Shenzhen and surrounding areas. Welcome to Shenzhen Space Crops Garden.
