Shenzhen Universiade Park to be completed in July
The II Section of the first phase Universiade Park project, locating in Longgang district was started yesterday, which indicates the Universiade Park has entered into an all-round construction stage. After completed in July this year, the Park will become a sport ecological park that serves for the Universiade during the events and the citizens and tourists after the events. It’s said that I section of this project was started last December and 50% of the landscaping work has been finished.
The Universiade Park, locating in Longgang district with total investment of 417 million Yuan covers a floor area of 3.87 square kilometers. According to the introduction of the programming and design unit, the Universiade Park is designed to be a sport ecological park integrating into the nature on the subject of health and vigor. The Park, themed on “Youth, Sports, Ecology and Culture” will build a visual effect of flower mountain and flower sea during the holding of the Universiade. The Park, on scenery, will become the background mountain of the Universiade Center and the extension of the sceneries and, on function, will be helpful for relieving the great pressure on the Universiade venues brought by the large visitor volume during the events, effectively supplementing unicity of its function. After the events, the Park will be open for the citizens and become an urban park integrating leisure, sports and assembly.
