ZTE Corporation held the first meeting of the fifth term Board of Directors in Shenzhen on March 30, 2010, which discussed and approved the “Proposal on Election of Chairman and Vice Chairman of ZTE Corporation”. The Proposal elects Mr. Hou Weigui as Chairman of the 5th term Board of Directors and Lei Fanpei and Xie Weiliang as Vice Chairman. Mr. Yin Yimin, Shi Lirong, He Shiyou continue to act as Directors. The meeting also discussed and approved the “Proposal on Appointment of New Term of Senior Executive Team of ZTE”, which appoints Mr. Shi Lirong as President of ZTE. He Shiyou, Wei Zaisheng, Xie Daxiong, Tian Wenguo, Qiu Wizhao, and Fan Qingfeng continue to act as Executive Vice President. Mr. Wei Zaisheng continues to act as Chief Financial Officer of the Company at the same time.

The new term of Board and Executives maintain the stability of the team and take office for performing relevant responsibilities starting from the date of this announcement.

As per the resolutions and requirements of the new term Board of Directors, the fifth term Senior Executive Team is obliged to further analyze the profound changes on the global telecommunication market and continue to promote the reform of the company’s strategy according to the customers’ dynamic demands. The Executives are also obliged to lead the to grow into a world class corporation and reward the society, the shareholder and the employees with better performance.
