ZTE Wins the Award of “Commercial IPv6 Vanguard”

The 2010 Global IPv6 and NGI Summit, endorsed by National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Engineering, China Internet Society, Zhongguancun National Innovation Model Park and IPv6 Forum, was held in Beijing on April 7, 2010.

ZTE, by right of its outstanding performance on the promotion of commercial IPv6 technology, has won the award of “Commercial IPv6 Vanguard” issued by Global IPv6 Forum. Chairman of the Forum, Latif Ladid said, “As vanguard of IPv6 technology, ZTE currently has become a leader that largely promotes the commercial IPv6 technology.”

2010 is the first year that IPv6 technology has been commercially used. A series of new market requirements of The Internet of Things and three networks in one enhance the appeal of overall deployment of IPv6 and each large operator and industry have made breakthrough on the development and commercialization of IPv6 technology, making the commercialization process of ITv6 gradually refined.

ZTE has established a professional IPv6 research and development team since 2001 and has developed a dual-stack operation system platform with independent intellectual property right and all series of IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack data communication products, including the 1st Generation Reconfigurable Router M60000, BMSG T1200/T600 and 8900 high-end exchange series, 5900E/3900E exchange series etc.
