7 Hours from Hefei to Shenzhen

The section between Guangzhou and Shenzhen of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link is expected to be opened for operation on December 28, by then it will take only 20 minutes to Shenzhen from Guangzhou. It will take the people in Hefei no more than 7 hours to transit to Shenzhen via Hefei-Wuhan Passenger Line and Wuhan-Guangzhou Express Railway. By the time that Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link is completed in 2014, it will take only 7 or 8 hours for Hefei people to transit to Hong Kong visa Wuhan, Fuzhou and other places by train.

Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link is started from Guangzhou via Shenzhen to Hong Kong, which is mainly for passenger service. As the first phase project, the Guangzhou-Shenzhen section from South Station of Guangzhou to the North Station of Shenzhen has been started with track lying, which is expected to be operated on December 28 this year, by then it will take only 20 minutes from Guangzhou to Shenzhen, according to the introduction of Guangzhou railway department.

The connection of Guangzhou-Shenzhen Express Railway and Wuhan-Guangzhou Express Railway in the South Station of Guangzhou will also make it convenient for Hefei people to go to Shenzhen by train, which will take about 7 hours, while the total journey will now will take about 20 hours.
